Botswana & Namibia Youth Ministries host HIV/AIDS Mass Campaign

The Botswana and Namibia Ministries of Youth, Sport and Culturehosted the 2nd annual Cross Border Youth HIV/AIDS Holiday Mass Campingn in Gantsi on 7th December 2009. The Campaign which was hosted in Namibia last year, and is held annually alternating between Botswana and Namibia, is an extension of the World AIDS Day commemorations.

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS YOUTH DEVELOPMENT FUND |

The Department of Youth announces the re-opening for application submissions for funding under the Youth Development Fund Programme. Interested Youth are informed that orientation sessions will be held from 4th to 15th January 2010 at District Youth offices around the country before applications forms are distributed. Only those Youth who register for and attend orientation sessions will be eligible to apply for funding.

Minister Kgathi meets DoY staff |

The new Minister of Youth, Sport and Culture Hon. Shaw Kgathi met briefly with the Department of Youth staff on 3rd November 2009.
Minister Kgathi said he was happy to have been appointed to head this Ministry as he has always had passsion for sport and Youth development. |
